I am the school counselor and one of the reading interventionist here at Ray E. Kilmer Elementary School.  I have been employed in the district for 11 years.  During that time I have taught kindergarten, first and third grade.  Last year I incorporated a new guidance program, Kilmer True Colors, which focused on nine key traits of successful students. Affective education is an important part of "Educating the Whole Child."  Kilmer True Colors will define and demonstrate traits that help our students become successful community members.
